Therapy Services
Therapeutic Approach
Life can be overwhelming and difficult in so many ways. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, I am here to help you through every step of the process. I provide individual therapy to adults and teens 16 and up. Together we will identify your goals and figure out what you need to achieve them. I tend to be more casual in my approach to therapy to emphasize the importance of feeling safe and comfortable in session. Therapy doesn’t have to feel so formal and scary!
Individual Psychotherapy
Individual psychotherapy sessions are designed to provide a safe and supportive environment where you can openly discuss and explore your thoughts and emotions. Through compassionate guidance, I will help you navigate life's difficulties and develop healthier coping strategies. As a therapist, I am here to listen, understand, and assist you on your journey to well-being.
Therapy Modalities
I primarily utilize cognitive-behavioral therapy to help you identify the connections between your thoughts, feelings, and actions and provide tools to find balance. I also draw upon several other therapeutic frameworks such as DBT, person-centered, and supportive therapy. I can provide you with techniques and practices to help manage stress, feel more present in life, and manage the unwanted thoughts and emotions you may have. The approach to therapy will be tailored to your individual situation.
About Me
Hi! I’m Jenna.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with clinical experience working with all ages. I have worked with children in the foster care system, in a college counseling center, and in a community agency setting. I earned my Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Marist College in 2020. I am passionate about mental health and believe that therapy is for everyone. We are all just trying to find our way and there should be no shame in asking for help.
Outside of session, I enjoy arts & crafts projects of all kinds, most recently baking and decorating sugar cookies. I enjoy spending time with my loved ones and especially cats (even if they aren’t my own!). I enjoy getting to know people with all types of interests and am always looking for new hobbies.
